García Alcocer was founded in 1985 in México City by José Antonio García Alcocer. It has become one of the most important litigation and dispute resolution boutiques in Mexico. For more than 30 years the Firm has had an undisputed track record and has counseled clients with the largest matters taking place in Mexico related to litigation and dispute resolution. The team handles civil, family, probate, commercial and constitutional disputes. In the past couple of years, García Alcocer has developed a strong arbitration practice as well.

The Firm expanded in 2005 as it founded its Querétaro office. Currently, the Firm has offices which are strategically located in two of the most growing economic cities in Mexico: Mexico City and Querétaro. Both boast some of highest foreign and national investment rates.

Since 1985 García Alcocer has received recognition from various institutions, international law firms and editorials. Some of these include but are not limited to: Mundo del Abogado´s list of “100 best lawyers of Mexico” referring to José Antonio García Alcocer, and also naming him one of Mexico´s most prominent lawyers by “Poder y Negocios”. Most recently, in December 2013, García Alcocer Abogados, S.C. was listed as the top civil and commercial litigation firm in Mexico by Mexican Forbes Magazine.
